It was a small step for him, the unanointed king
of Grains Processing Manufacturing industry in
India, G.Ramakrishna Achar, but a giant leap for
the industry and the nation. |
|
The year was 1993 when G.Ramakrishna Achar, with
daring dreams of making it big, founded SKF, in
a hired shed and began manufacturing Rice
cookers. After manufacturing and marketing the
50 ton capacity boiler-cum-drier, with
tremendous success, Mr.Achar never looked back.
Thanks to his ambition and vision, coupled with
relentless hard work, today SKF is a unique
corporate company, founded in the rural
backyard, Bannadka, of Moodbidri, with its
proven credentials globally! SKF plants have
been exported to Bangladesh, Pakistan, Nepal and
Nigeria. With a turnover of Rs.100 crore and a
team of 2000, SKF, today, is the leading brand
name in the designing, manufacturing and
marketing of food grains processing plants
globally. Mr.Achar, never a man to rest on his
laurels, has ambitious plans of diversification,
especially into education, with emphasis on
Grains Processing Machinery Manufacturing,
Management and Marketing. Plans are a foot to
establish an educational Institution of global
standards, offering Diploma, Degree (BBM) and
Masters Courses (MBA) in Grains Processing
Technology, Manufacturing, Management,
Maintenance , Marketing et al to fulfill the
growing demand for knowledgeable and skilled
Technicians from the Rice Mill Industry in India
and abroad. Undoubtedly, this plan, when
implemented, will be a great service to the
industry and the nation as there are now no
institutions to impart training in the crucial
sector. |
